About The Position

This role is for a Medical Imaging Field Engineer I, responsible for servicing imaging equipment in the Philadelphia, PA area. The position involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthcare Medical Solution instrumentation at customer sites with minimal supervision. The engineer will also be responsible for delivering timely and effective repairs, training operators for optimal system performance, managing financial performance within their territory, and managing company assets. Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers, along with accurate administrative duties, are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
  • General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
  • Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
  • 1+ years experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Must demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources.
  • Strong competency in instrument systems technology to include mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology.
  • Experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
