About The Position

This role is for an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career as a Customer Service Engineer 3, responsible for servicing XP/AX Imaging Equipment in the Saginaw, MI area. The level of this role will be based on prior experience. The engineer will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. Key responsibilities include delivering timely and effective repairs, providing adequate operator training for optimal system performance, managing financial performance within their territory (revenue generation, expense control, inventory management), ensuring tool and test equipment calibration, managing company assets (car, phone, computer, tools, parts), and establishing proper business relationships with customers and peers. This position also involves mentoring other Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) on competencies and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Experience in testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
  • Ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
  • Ability to locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams, and functional descriptions.
  • 5+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Demonstrate excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources.
  • Strong competency in instrument systems technology to include mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology.
  • Experience with electronics, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Must be eligible for employment under the Fleet Safety Policy, which includes holding a valid driver’s license in the state of residence and no prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending charges, or other serious moving violations (unless prohibited by state/local law).
  • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites.
  • Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access, which may include proof of valid identification, criminal background checks, drug screens, immunizations, and annual TB testing.
  • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing XP/AX Imaging Equipment in the Saginaw, MI area.

  • Establishing and maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers.
  • Performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Providing mentoring to other CSE’s on all competencies and responsibilities.
