About The Position

This role is for an ambitious professional looking for the next step in their career as a Customer Service Engineer 3, responsible for servicing XP/AX Imaging Equipment in the Grand Rapids, MI area. The position involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision. The engineer will ensure timely and effective repairs, provide operator training for optimal system performance, and manage financial performance within their territory, including revenue generation, expense control, and inventory management. Responsibilities also include managing company assets such as a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, and inventory parts, and establishing/maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers while accurately performing administrative duties.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
Experience in testing, repairing, and maintaining capital medical equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment.
General understanding of the principles of electricity, power supplies, and grounding.
Minimum high school diploma; technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
Proficient in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
7+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
Excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources.
Strong competency in instrument systems technology to include mechanics, electrical, chemistry, and software technology.
Experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites.
Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment.
Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
