About The Position

This is a field-based, customer-facing role where you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites. You will be the "Face of Siemens" to the customer, initially supporting diagnostics modalities with potential for cross-training into other modalities in the future. The role requires flexibility to work different shifts and on-call rotations, including overtime as needed, with advanced notice for any shift changes. You will report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience with the desired Diagnostics Imaging Equipment.
  • Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
  • Strong background working with electronics and proficiency in the use of service tools and service test equipment.
  • Proficient PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website—Engineer Tools).
  • Ability to locate, read, and understand documents for install, set-up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
  • 7+ years' experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
  • Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
  • Lifting 50 lbs regularly [floor to above waist/head], and often over 50 lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and may not have any prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless such a restriction is prohibited by state/local law).
  • Must have full access to Siemens Healthineers' client sites to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position.
  • Ability to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
