About The Position

The Medical/Health Care Program Analyst position serves as a liaison to the Medical Director, evaluating and analyzing the clinical operations for FDOH Walton/Walton Community Health Center clinics and residency program to ensure effective and efficient daily work and healthcare service delivery. This role functions under the supervision of the Medical Director and collaborates with various directors to guide, organize, and monitor clinical services. The position adheres to Information Security policies and procedures and is a key custodian for assigned areas. This role ensures a patient-centered medical home approach, where the patient is the central focus of the healthcare team, including healthcare professionals, family, and friends. The analyst provides patient-centered interactions by respecting patient and family values, encouraging patient involvement in decision-making and self-management, and communicating in a culturally appropriate manner and at a level the patient understands. The analyst follows Walton Community Health Center Patient-Centered Medical Home policies and procedures for exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Collect, manage, and analyze data to produce and compile meaningful reports.
  • Possess strong teaching and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of standard billing practices.
  • Strong knowledge of rules and regulations relating to insurance billing and medical documentation and coding compliance regulations.
  • Ability to code accurately using ICD 10 nomenclature.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written format.
  • Ability to work with staff to foster and encourage teamwork and high-quality service.
  • Ability to critically think to determine appropriate solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance processes.
  • Ability to learn and utilize a variety of computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and HMS.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to accommodate to changing directives and clinical situations.
  • Current state driver’s license.
  • Previous experience with data collecting and analysis.
  • Experience in medical billing and coding.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison to the Medical Director evaluating and providing analysis of the clinical operations for FDOH Walton/Walton Community Health Center clinics and residency program.
  • Contrive, guide, organize, and monitor clinical services provided at FDOH Walton and Walton Community Health Center clinics.

  • Review programs, processes, procedures, staff configurations and confer with management and users to identify problems and improvements with clinic operations.
  • Interview personnel, conduct on-site observation, and compile data, analogies and reports to ascertain clinic process/functions, methods, equipment and personnel utilization.
  • Design, evaluate, and recommend changes based on needs, efficiencies, cost, and analysis.
  • Compile clinical data and reports for the residency director in accordance with ACGME requirements, including data on clinical quality, health disparities, patient safety, patient satisfaction, continuity with patient panel, referrals, diagnostic utilization rates, and financial performance.
  • Collect clinical data from the EHR to share with residency clinicians for QI or research projects.
  • Provide technical assistance, consultation, and direction for the development, implementation, evaluation, and expansion of clinic programs and services.
  • Confer with key management staff to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures.
  • Build clinic schedules and templates in the EHR for all residency clinicians.
  • Manage clinic schedule and template changes in the EHR for all residency clinicians.
  • Serve as a local expert for coding and billing and provide periodic feedback to residency clinicians on how to improve financial performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between residency clinicians and the Walton County Fire Rescue Community Health Program and Point Washington Medical Clinic.
  • Ensure patients seen by residency clinical staff outside of the Coastal Branch receive appropriate follow-up care in the Coastal Branch in a timely manner.
  • Review, develop, and monitor compliance standards and procedures for clinic operations, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Plan and conduct studies of clinic operations, problems, and procedures, gather and organize information on problems or procedures.
  • Compile clinic data, analyze clinical data gathered, and develop solutions or alternative methods for improvement of clinic operations/processes and present to management.
  • Work closely with clinic supervisors to ensure appropriate, efficient, cost-effective staffing of clinics with the delivery of superior customer service.
  • Monitor and report productivity of clinic staff, productivity reporting, and continuous quality improvement in productivity.
  • Empanel new primary care patients to residency physicians in the EHR and actively manage all resident patient panels to ensure all panels meet ACGME requirements for patient mix.
  • Prepare manuals and train staff relating to processes and procedures according to need.
  • Work with the FQHC Grants Manager to ensure compliance with HRSA’s 19 Grant requirements and UDS reporting standards.
  • Assist residency leadership with ordering new medical equipment and supplies.
  • Act as an active member of the Clinic Management Team and Quality Assurance/Improvement Committee.
  • Code Employee Activity Records accurately.
  • Serve on various committees, teams, and work groups to support the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.
