About The Position

Delivers durable medical equipment and supplies to patients’ homes and educates on the proper use of the equipment. Loads vehicle and transports durable medical equipment and supplies to and from patient homes and assembles as needed. Provides instruction/education on safe equipment use to patients/caregivers. Provides and reviews written documentation to patients/caregivers and obtains signatures on delivery documents. Collects payments from patients for coinsurance, copays, and self-pay items. Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment. Ensures compliance with accreditation expectations. May assist with warehouse duties. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
  • One year experience
  • Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
  • Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
  • Occasional driving.
  • State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
  • Driving Record - Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) And Driver’s License State of Issuance
