About The Position

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to provide onsite services at the Seattle VA Medical Center. The role involves performing dosimetry functions under MDCB certification, designing various treatment plans, assisting with simulations, overseeing device fabrication, implementing treatment plans, performing calculations, and supporting QA and calibration. Ansible is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides solutions in healthcare, national security, and information technology.

Requirements

  • MDCB certification
  • Minimum 2 years of continuous recent experience
  • 2 years: QA procedures documentation
  • 1 year: ACR/APEX certified healthcare system
  • 1 year: Varian TrueBeam with Rapid Arc
  • 1 year: IGRT with Cone Beam CT (TG-142 standards)
  • 3 years: Eclipse planning system, ARIA system (SRS, SRT, SBRT, IMRT modalities)
  • 3 years: GE CT Simulator (or equivalent)
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Ability to push/pull with 30 lbs of force

Responsibilities

  • Perform dosimetry functions under MDCB certification
  • Receive direction from VA Radiation Oncologist and/or Medical Physicist
  • Design treatment plans (SRS/SRT, HyperArc, IMRT, SBRT, 2D/3D, IGRT)
  • Assist with simulations and tumor localization (CT, MRI, PET-CT fusions)
  • Oversee fabrication of beam-modifying and immobilization devices
  • Implement treatment plans and verify correct use of devices
  • Perform and document dosimetric calculations
  • Support Medical Physicist in QA, calibration, and radiation protection
