The Radiation Oncology Dosimetrist facilitates the Radiation Oncology process through the development of optimal treatment strategies.

Requirements

  • BS Degree or equivalent with successful completion of a recognized dosimetry training program
  • Certified by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board, or board eligible
  • 3 years’ experience in Medical Dosimetry

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for 3 years’ experience in Medical Dosimetry

Responsibilities

  • Utilize external beam data, radioisotope data, and knowledge of the technical aspects of Radiation Oncology and Physics to derive computerized treatment plans for the purpose of providing an optimal dosimetric distribution for each patient in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription.
  • Implements department protocols, policies, and procedures and quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy of patient treatment.
