About The Position
Blue United Sourcing is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist to join a comprehensive outpatient cancer center in Valdosta, Georgia. This full-time, direct-hire role works closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Radiation Therapists to develop safe, accurate, and clinically appropriate treatment plans.
Requirements
- Current CMD certification through MDCB
- Bachelor's degree required
- Current healthcare provider CPR certification
- Strong understanding of radiation oncology equipment and medical physics
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of IMRT treatment planning experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Design individualized radiation treatment plans in accordance with physician prescriptions
- Generate dose distributions and calculations alongside the Medical Physicist
- Support treatment planning across modalities including 3D, IMRT, and SBRT
- Serve as a technical resource for Radiation Therapists during plan implementation
- Verify accuracy of treatment calculations and maintain required documentation
