About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Medical Doctor (MD/DO) with a strong background in personal injury medicine to join our growing Arizona medical practice on a part-time basis. This position is designed for a physician who is already familiar with the personal injury field and understands the evaluation, treatment, documentation, and ongoing management of patients following motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury-related trauma. The position consists of two days per week: one in-person clinical day and one remote telemedicine day. The in-person day will ultimately be split between our Tucson and Phoenix locations based on patient volume and scheduling needs. The physician will also have one scheduled telemedicine day per week, which can be performed remotely from home. Our practice provides the facilities, established patient volume, scheduling, clinical support staff, EHR, billing, and administrative infrastructure. This is a consistent two-day-per-week opportunity. The practice provides the patient base, scheduling, facilities, support staff, EHR, billing, and administrative infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced, personable, and efficient physician who understands the unique clinical environment of personal injury medicine. The ideal candidate is capable of managing a relatively high-volume clinical schedule without sacrificing the quality of patient care or documentation and understands the importance of thorough evaluations, appropriate treatment recommendations, timely documentation, and continuity of care. This is intended to develop into a long-term physician relationship with our organization, with the potential for additional clinical days and expanded responsibilities as our Phoenix and Tucson patient volumes continue to grow.

Requirements

Experienced Medical Doctor (MD/DO).
Strong background in personal injury medicine.
Familiarity with the evaluation, treatment, documentation, and ongoing management of patients following motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury-related trauma.
Prior personal injury experience.
Comfortable independently evaluating and managing patients involved in motor vehicle accidents and other injury-related cases.
Familiarity with the clinical and documentation requirements associated with personal injury medicine.
Comfortable working collaboratively with other professionals involved in a patient's personal injury case while maintaining independent medical judgment and appropriate standards of care.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, treat, document, and manage patients following motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury-related trauma.
Conduct one 8-hour in-person clinical day per week, split between Tucson and Phoenix locations.
Perform telemedicine evaluations one day per week remotely from home.
Conduct initial medical evaluations and follow-up evaluations.
Manage motor vehicle accident and trauma-related injuries.
Provide personal injury medical documentation and appropriate treatment planning.
Order and review diagnostic imaging when medically appropriate.
Refer and coordinate with chiropractic, physical rehabilitation, pain management, imaging, and other specialties.
Perform trigger point injections (TPI).
Evaluate and manage common musculoskeletal injuries.
Conduct traumatic brain injury (TBI) evaluation and screening.
Manage concussion and post-concussion symptoms.
Utilize diagnostic testing and other modalities commonly encountered within the personal injury setting.
Collaborate with chiropractors, pain management providers, imaging facilities, attorneys, case managers, and other professionals involved in a patient's personal injury case while maintaining independent medical judgment and appropriate standards of care.
