About The Position

The Medical Director delivers clinical care and leads mid-level practitioners in support of JumpstartMD’s health and wellness programs. The role focuses on medical weight management, hormone replacement therapy, lifestyle medicine, cardiometabolic disease reversal and prevention, vitamin optimization, evidence-based exercise protocols, peptide therapy, and skin, hair, and sexual health enhancement. The Medical Director helps develop practitioners, improve patient outcomes and service, and advance the organization’s programs and clinical workflows.

Requirements

• Board-certified MD.
• At least 5 years of experience.
• Multi-state licensed, including California and Texas.
• DEA Registration Certificate.
• Clear a background check.
• Demonstrated ability to design clinical protocols and implement them operationally.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering teams to ship clinical workflows and programs.
• Experience leading quality improvement, patient safety, or clinical operations work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records.
• Maintain confidentiality and a positive, professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in weight loss or hormone replacement therapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive clinical care in accordance with regulatory standards and JumpstartMD protocols, including medical weight management, hormone replacement therapy, and cardiometabolic health optimization.
• Mentor and develop Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners, promoting clinical excellence and adherence to care protocols.
• Foster an accountable workplace culture that encourages innovation and teamwork and aligns with JumpstartMD’s mission and values.
• Optimize Standard Operating Procedures to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
• Model exceptional patient interactions and participate in leadership and educational meetings.
• Support staff with clinical inquiries and maintain a thorough understanding of company policies.
• Address significant operational issues with the Chief Medical Officer or Director of Clinical Operations as needed.
