About The Position

Under limited supervision, the Physician agrees to render medical services to patients of the Center in the manner and to the extent permitted by law and applicable rules of professional ethics. The Medical Director will coordinate, evaluate, and supervise the medical services provided at the Center in an effective and ethical manner. This role involves monitoring compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, overseeing patient care assessment, risk management, and system evaluation. The position also requires participation in quality assurance and utilization review programs, collaboration with community physicians, and responding to patient complaints and grievances.

Requirements

  • Medical Doctor degree
  • Board Certified in primary care specialty

Responsibilities

  • Render services and be present at the Center during office hours as scheduled by the Owner and at such other times as Owner may from time to time direct, including providing call coverage when requested
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and supervise the medical services provided at the Center in an effective and ethical manner
  • Monitor the Center's compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies, and all local, state and federal laws and regulations
  • Oversee patient care assessment, risk management, and system evaluation services with respect to all services provided at the Center
  • Abide by all reasonable policies, procedures, rules, regulations of insurers, managed care plans, health maintenance organizations, and other third-party payers involved with the Center
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective quality assurance and utilization review programs, including quality assurance and utilization review to the extent reasonably required by third-party payers
  • Cooperate and collaborate with other community physicians respecting the Center's services as well as the Center's personnel in their performance of their duties
  • Review and respond to any complaints and grievances, and recommend or take corrective action where appropriate
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities related to patient care at the Center as reasonably necessary or as reasonably requested by the Owner
