About The Position

Join VCA Urgent Care Animal Hospital – Northwest San Antonio as a Medical Director, where you will be supported by world-class medicine, technology, facilities, and a talented team. This role offers autonomy, ownership, and career growth, allowing you to share in the hospital's success without the financial risks of ownership. You will have the backing of experts in Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, and Payroll. The position involves an innovative approach to urgent care, utilizing technology, staffing, and thoughtfully designed workflows to ensure you can leave work on time and increase earning potential. You will work in a brand new, warm, and welcoming hospital environment, supported by 4-6 associates per DVM, including team members dedicated to medical records. The focus is on connecting with clients, diagnosing pets, and developing treatment plans within a collaborative and respectful culture. VCA is a leader in veterinary care with a network of 1,000 animal hospitals, impacting over 4.5 million pets annually through world-class medicine and hometown care. Requirements

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas, or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Responsibilities

  • Continue practicing medicine
  • Establishing the direction and medical quality of the hospital
  • Focus on connecting with clients, diagnosing pets, and putting together treatment plans
