About The Position

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is hiring a part-time Physician/Medical Director in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania. The organization provides addiction treatment services and seeks to remove barriers to recovery through comprehensive treatment. The Medical Director primarily assesses patients, creates treatment plans, and adjusts medications. The role collaborates with the Executive Director, Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and other care partners to help ensure patients receive appropriate care across the network.

Requirements

• Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine.
• Licensed in Pennsylvania or able to obtain a Pennsylvania license.
• MD and DO applicants are welcome.
• Must have a Medicaid number or be Medicaid eligible.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive medical assessments.
• Assist with training nursing staff.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and annually reviewing written medical procedures.
• Assist with planning medical services across assigned locations.
• Ensure medical staffing patterns are adequate and coordinate care with other patient care providers so patients receive a full continuum of care.
