About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a full-time Site Medical Director for clinical services provided to the Maryland incarcerated population at Maryland Correctional Institution - Hagerstown (MCIH) in Hagerstown, Maryland. The Site Medical Director, under the supervision of the Regional Medical Director, provides clinical direction and direct patient care to meet the service delivery requirements of assigned site. This role includes supervision and evaluation of medical services for pre-trial or incarcerated populations, clinical supervision for medical staff, and participation in various committees such as Continuous Quality Improvement, Infection Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics. The position also involves interfacing with agency clinical and administrative leadership on medical services issues and close collaboration with onsite providers and nursing staff.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required.
- Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required.
- Board certification/eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required.
- Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
- Ability to pass credentialing and background check.
