The Opportunity This position is based at our Mississauga office within the Diabetes Care division and requires on‑site presence four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day. As the Medical Director, you’ll have the chance to provide strategic clinical leadership to support the safe, effective, and evidence‑based use of Abbott’s diabetes technologies. This role is responsible for developing and executing the medical affairs strategy, partnering with internal stakeholders across the organization, leading the development and execution of advisory boards and publications, and engaging top thought leaders in the diabetes space to inform future strategic direction. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

Requirements

  • MD or DO with active license; board certification in Adult or Pediatric Endocrinology strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years clinical practice plus 3–5 years industry medical affairs experience.
  • Strong background in CGM or diabetes care.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • 30% travel required for scientific meetings and stakeholder engagements.
