About The Position

The hospital features advanced technology including digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house lab, and dental x-ray, practices hands-free radiology and Fear-Free techniques, and is AAHA accredited with close proximity to 24-hour specialty care. It is located in East Sacramento, a family-friendly area with excellent schools, fantastic restaurants, and rich art and sports opportunities. VCA Scribe is also offered. The schedule includes Full-Time or Part-Time options, with hours Mon–Fri 8 am–6 pm and Sat 8 am–5 pm, focusing on cats and dogs. Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in CA, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Responsibilities

• Provide wellness exams for cats and dogs
• Handle sick visits for cats and dogs
• Perform spay/neuter surgeries
• Perform laceration repairs
• Perform mass removals
• Perform dental procedures
