Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active or eligible veterinary license in the state of practice.
  • Several years of clinical veterinary experience.
  • Strong clinical judgment and medical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventive veterinary care.
  • Lead and uphold medical standards, protocols, and best practices across the practice.
  • Mentor, coach, and support veterinarians and clinical team members to promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and positive team culture.
  • Partner with practice leadership to support hospital operations, workflow efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Review medical records and clinical outcomes to ensure consistent standards of care.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable veterinary regulations, licensing requirements, and medical protocols.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and developing veterinary professionals.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure exceptional client communication.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the practice through clinical leadership and continuous improvement.
