Medical Director Veterinarian

CareVet HealthSylva, NC
Onsite

About The Position

This Medical Director role at Sylva Animal Hospital allows you to guide medical standards, mentor the team, and influence hospital direction while maintaining a hands-on clinical role. Experienced veterinarians can receive a customizable first-year compensation package totaling up to $200K (based on experience). This is a clinical leadership role, not a desk job, where you'll have the opportunity to shape medical quality, mentor the team, and influence the direction of the hospital while continuing to practice medicine and surgery regularly. It is an ideal role for a veterinarian who wants leadership influence without the stress of a large, complex operation. You will partner with hospital management on operations, allowing you to focus primarily on medicine, mentorship, and team development, not administrative overload. Sylva Animal Hospital is a modern small animal practice with a loyal clientele and a supportive, collaborative team. This is not a high-volume, high-pressure hospital, allowing time and support to practice medicine thoughtfully while leading effectively. You'll work in a smaller, highly collaborative environment where communication is strong and your leadership has a direct, meaningful impact on the team and patient care.
