Medical Director Veterinarian

CareVet HealthBedford, IN

About The Position

This Medical Director role at Bedford Veterinary Medical Centre allows you to guide medical standards, mentor the team, and influence hospital direction — without stepping away from patient care. Experienced veterinarians can receive a customizable first-year compensation package totaling up to $200K (based on experience). This is a clinical leadership role — not a desk job. You’ll have the opportunity to shape medical quality, mentor fellow doctors, and influence the direction of the hospital while maintaining a hands-on caseload. This is an ideal opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to step into leadership without sacrificing clinical practice or work-life balance. You’ll be supported by strong operational leadership so your focus remains on medicine and team development — not administrative overload. Bedford Veterinary Medical Centre is a well-established small animal practice built around consistency, efficiency, and a respectful team culture. This is not a high-volume, high-pressure environment — you’ll have the time and support to practice medicine thoughtfully and lead effectively. You’ll work alongside a team supported by experienced technicians and staff who understand workflow and value collaboration.
