About The Position

The Medical Director organizes, administers, and directs all medical activities of the University of Tennessee Student Health Center (SHC), including administering and directing the professional activities of all staff Physicians, Physical Therapists, and Nurse Practitioners; the administration of the Laboratory and Radiology Departments of the Health Center; and provision of outpatient medical care in an ambulatory setting. This position works in partnership with the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Life and/or Health Care Administrator to support coordinated and efficient Student Health Center operations.

Requirements

Medical Director experience
Experience in organizing, administering, and directing medical activities
Experience in administering and directing professional activities of physicians, physical therapists, and nurse practitioners
Experience in administration of laboratory and radiology departments
Experience in providing outpatient medical care in an ambulatory setting
Ability to partner with administrative roles to support efficient operations
