About The Position

Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a part-time Medical Director of IICAPS/Child Psychiatrist. This position is non-benefited and requires 8 hours per week. Remote work is an option. The role involves overseeing medical/psychiatric care in the child department, serving as the medical director of the IICAPS program, providing evaluation and treatment to child clients, and offering consultation/training services to Bridges non-medical staff.

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited college or university and a completed residency in psychiatry.
Board Certified/eligible in Child and Adolescent psychiatry.
Current State of Connecticut medical license and State Controlled Substance Registration and a Federal DEA certificate and Buprenorphine waiver.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Good communication skills and documentation and computer literacy/skills.
Knowledge of psychiatric illness and substance abuse.
Experience in counseling/therapeutic methods and practices and prescribing medications.
Ability to prioritize and organize schedules/demands.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clinical management to oversee operations of IICAPS program.
Attend IICAPS network meetings as needed.
Supervise, coach and provide guidance to the child and outpatient program medical staff.
Serve as medical consultant in child and adolescent team meeting.
Provide direct clinical/medication services to adolescents and children.
Maintain client records.
Provide clinical leadership to staff and consultation to non-medical staff.
Ensure coordination of client medical care.
Collaborate with fiscal department in the development of budgets and forecasts for child and adolescent medical department.
Participate in the development and maintenance of working relationships with community agencies, schools or individuals.
Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.
