The Medical Director, GI Oncology and Solid Tumors will report to the Executive Director, Solid Tumors and assume a key role within the US Medical Affairs organization. The Medical Director (MD) will provide leadership and direction to a cross functional Medical Affairs team in the development and execution of the Medical Affairs plans and collaborate with the brand team and Clinical Development in the strategic planning and life cycle management of marketed and in-development products. Serving as the subject matter expert, the MD will provide direction and support to internal colleagues (sales, marketing, regulatory, and clinical), resolve medical issues, and provide critical input in the development of medical documents (product materials, research ideas, internal trainings, etc.) to ensure high strategic and scientific standards. The Medical Director will ensure strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and professional societies in oncology and represent Medical Affairs externally through presentations at advisory boards, key scientific meetings, and interactions with our key investigators. They will work collaboratively with Jazz’s development partners or alliance partners as needed.
