About The Position

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Medical Director of Clinical Informatics and Technology is responsible for being the physician leader for the electronic hearth record and other healthcare technology systems. Partners with service line medical directors, Information Technology (IT), and the Electronic Health Record (EHR) teams ensuring compliance, training, and leveraging technology for better patient outcomes. This position will spend 40% of their time providing clinical care.

Requirements

• Current Alaska license.
• Current American Board Certification specialty appropriate for the service.
• Meets all requirements in order to obtain medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
• Thorough understanding of the cultures and needs of the Alaska Native population served by SCF.
• Compliance with Employee Health procedure, including required immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, COVID-19) prior to the first day of employment.

Responsibilities
