About The Position

We’re raising the standard for what a medium-duty truck should be - delivering vehicles, infrastructure, and support designed to work for you. The Information Technology Director reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations and leads the strategy, architecture, compliance and operations of enterprise IT and Cybersecurity across corporate, engineering, and manufacturing environments within an EV manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, resilient, and highly available technology platforms that support vehicle production, R&D, supply chain, and corporate operations. This is a corporate leadership role, requiring the management and development of the organization’s IT team and cross-communication with other organizational leaders. A critical focus of this role is ensuring the secure integration of IT and OT systems to protect production uptime, intellectual property, and employee safety.

  • 5+ years in senior IT leadership roles supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of IT/OT integration and operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise IT infrastructure across corporate offices, manufacturing plants, and R&D facilities.
  • Oversee networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms, and end-user computing with a focus on high availability for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to support MES, SCADA, PLC, quality systems, and factory automation platforms.
  • Scale and optimize support services to maintain lean, nimble operational support and team.
  • Ensure infrastructure reliability and performance for plant-floor systems, industrial networks, and production-critical applications.
  • Responsible for disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning to minimize production downtime.
  • Work with Cybersecurity CISO and internal and external cybersecurity resources to support and execute a comprehensive Cybersecurity strategy tailored to an EV manufacturing environment and aligned with available personnel and financial resources.
  • Manage Cybersecurity awareness training and testing efforts for all staff, including phishing training and testing campaigns, role-specific training, and key personnel training.
  • Support and evolve IT/OT security convergence efforts, including network segmentation, zero-trust principles, and secure remote access.
  • Responsible for the organization’s cybersecurity risk management program, whereby risks to information systems and infrastructure confidentiality, integrity, and availability are captured and reviewed for mitigation.
  • Oversee vulnerability management and information systems patching processes in all environments.
  • Responsible for the cybersecurity incident response lifecycle, including monitoring, alert management, event triage, and incident response plan execution across IT and OT environments.
  • Protect intellectual property related to vehicle design, battery technology, and manufacturing processes.
  • Serve as executive advisor on both electric vehicle and organizational cyber risk, plant-level incidents, and the threat landscape relevant to the organization’s industry and sector.
  • Oversee third-party/supply chain risks for the organization within the scope of information systems, Cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
  • Lead quarterly Cybersecurity Steering Committee meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity and industrial standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, IEC 62443 as well as Cybersecurity insurance requirements.
  • Accountable for the creation, management, and review of organizational IT and Cybersecurity policies and procedures for approval by the Cybersecurity Steering Committee.
  • Responsible for IT SOX and SEC Regulatory controls and audit requirements.
  • Work with Director of Digital Transformation to ensure Enterprise Application-level audit compliance.
  • Partner with Director of Digital Transformation to provide support for Enterprise Application implementations.
  • Own and lead all strategic programs and initiatives for IT.
  • Lead all Portfolio planning, prioritizing and execution for IT.
  • Lead and develop desktop support, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams across corporate and plant environments.
  • Support new product launches, production expansions, and strategic initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Manage IT related vendors, system integrators, and cybersecurity partners.
  • Responsible for IT infrastructure, software and security budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Establish corporate AI deployment policies, controls, and strategies.
  • Enable faster, data driven decisions through advanced analytics and responsible AI deployments.
  • Leads and facilitates effective collaboration and communications between the IT organization and the user and customer communities.
