About The Position

The Information Technology Director (IT Director) is responsible for overseeing the IT department, ensuring the efficient operation of the technology systems that support the organization's goals. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic vision, as the IT Director must not only manage current systems but also plan for future technological needs. They work closely with other department heads to understand their technology requirements and develop solutions that enhance business performance. The job involves staying up-to-date with the latest technology trends and ensuring that the organization's IT infrastructure operates seamlessly and securely.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in IT management
  • Experience in managing a multi-site IT infrastructure and security
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proven track record of successful project management
  • Experience with IT budgeting and financial management
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management or a related area
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and security
  • Ability to develop and implement IT policies and procedures
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in IT
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial planning for the IT department

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or ITIL

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's objectives
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of technology infrastructure
  • Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  • Ensure network security and data protection
  • Plan and implement system upgrades and new technologies
  • Develop and manage the IT department budget
  • Coordinate with other departments to identify and meet their IT needs
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics for the IT department
  • Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures
  • Supervise the development and implementation of new software and hardware
  • Oversee disaster recovery and backup procedures
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with technology vendors
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
  • Provide technical support and guidance to staff and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to streamline support processes and improve service delivery.
  • Participate in CBS-driven kaizen activities and standard work adoption.
  • Support IT projects and system upgrades.
