About The Position
Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Part-Time Medical Director for our behavioral health team in West Columbia. This part-time Medical Director psychiatry opportunity offers a flexible schedule within a supportive residential treatment facility environment focused on high-quality child and adolescent psychiatric care. The role includes daily rounding responsibilities, clinical leadership, collaboration with experienced PMHNPs and multidisciplinary behavioral health teams, and strong administrative support. This is an outstanding opportunity for a psychiatrist seeking leadership responsibilities, supplemental income, or a balanced part-time behavioral health leadership role within the growing Columbia metropolitan area.
Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist
- South Carolina medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Excellent communication and collaborative care skills
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred or eligible
- Leadership experience or interest in Medical Director responsibilities preferred
- Strong interest in inpatient child and adolescent behavioral healthcare
Responsibilities
- Serve as Medical Director overseeing psychiatric clinical care and treatment quality
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management for child and adolescent patients
- Perform daily inpatient psychiatric rounding
- Attend treatment team twice weekly
- Collaborate with PMHNPs, therapists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Supervise and support advanced practice providers as needed
- Support program growth, clinical quality initiatives, and behavioral health operations
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Promote patient-centered behavioral healthcare and continuity of care
- Timely Admissions Peer to peer reviews
