Role background At AstraZeneca, our Innovation and Business Excellence (IBEX) team is pushing the boundaries of technology in support of transforming healthcare delivery. As an organization we are focused on creating connected customer experiences both in person and by levering digital. Within medical affairs we have a rigorous focus on ensuring the HCP experience centers on unmet patient needs, and better patient outcomes. This role scopes across the various therapy areas in AZC to shape the future through optimizing the use of new technology and digital resources in support of the scientific engagement plans of medical affairs. A key area of focus is building the Medical Omnichannel approach, and in this role you will help build the strategy, create deliverables and measure impact. The MDIL role bridges Medical teams to IBEX & IT, identifying digital opportunities for medical and areas for advancing omnichannel delivery. The role also provides leadership in the new area of measuring outcomes of digital and omnichannel initiatives by medical. The role partners with the global Medical Operations, Innovation and EuCan regional MedEx teams to understand and mold global medical omnichannel strategy for the Canadian Market, and to bring new platforms from Global to the local market. Successful execution in this role requires effectively shaping the strategy and proficiency in enabling impact through strong partnering with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization. The Medical Digital and Innovation Lead role will lead the launch and implementation and monitoring of new digital systems and tools within AZC Medical Affairs that will help deliver on AZC Innovation strategy supporting AZ Transforming Healthcare Delivery goal. This digital lead role will develop a sustainable workstream for delivery of digital and omnichannel Medical strategy.
