As a Medical Device Post‑Processing Technician, you’ll take precision‑machined components and guide them through the final finishing steps that meet exacting customer specifications. Your day blends hands‑on craftsmanship with disciplined documentation to ensure every part is safe, compliant, and ready for the clinical world. A Day in the Life You begin by reviewing specification sheets and production priorities, then set up the Visual Laser Marker (VLM) software to laser‑etch unique identifiers. After marking, you transition pieces through ultrasonic cleaning, blasting, tumbling, and passivation. You’ll assemble components when required, verify quality, and package and label finished products. Throughout, you follow SOPs, GMPs, and GDPs, practice 5S, and keep safety front and center.
