Laser Etch Operator - 3rd Shift

We are looking for a Laser Etch/ Engrave Operator to join our Warsaw, IN location on a 3rd shift schedule. You will set up and operate Laser Etch machine to engrave/etch metal parts.
Requirements
- Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine appropriate operation to be performed
- Able to check parts on the comparator and the micro vu
- Understanding of programming for Laser Etch; previous related experience required
- Strong math and computer skills
- Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain laser equipment, hand tools, fixtures and jigs
- Check complete orders in Laser Etching area for paperwork accuracy, verify count
- Runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
- Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines including programming and tooling
- Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets and instructions
- Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height stands to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
- Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database
- Program laser equipment for operation
- Reports key job status to Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager
- Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
