About The Position

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Medical Delivery Driver in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The driver transports medical supplies, specimens, and other materials for healthcare organizations, serving Belen, Los Lunas, and Albuquerque. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at $15.00 per hour. Most of the workday is spent driving a company-owned vehicle. Candidates must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment. COVID-19 vaccination proof may be required depending on location and local mandates.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver's license for 3 years.
Excellent driving history.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with and adapt to technology.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and lift items off storage racks.
Comfort with walking and standing for long periods.
Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

Relevant industry or driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
Load and unload the company vehicle using appropriate equipment.
Use a handheld scanning device to track items throughout transportation.
Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
Drive safely and courteously.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
