Medical Delivery Driver
About The Position
Pick up blood samples and specimens from doctors' offices and clinics and deliver them to labs for testing according to the dispatcher's instructions. The role may also involve picking up pharmaceuticals and delivering them to nursing homes and clinics, as well as handling occasional unscheduled sample or specimen pickups outside the normal route. Drivers must organize deliveries in color-coded bags and appropriate coolers to help prevent patients from needing repeat testing. Attention to detail is essential because the packages may affect patients' health. The position calls for flexibility with on-demand routes and availability to fill in as needed. An available route is a weekday evening route, Monday through Friday. Weekly settlements depend on the route.
Requirements
- Live in Southaven, Mississippi, or a surrounding area.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Have a fully functioning smartphone.
- Have a reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Be able to differentiate colors for coding purposes.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Maintain professionalism in all settings and keep a clean appearance.
- Be attentive to details.
- Be self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
