About The Position

MedSpeed is hiring a full-time Medical Delivery Driver (Logistics Service Representative) in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The role pays $16.00 per hour and follows a fixed Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. The driver spends most of the workday in a company-owned vehicle transporting medical materials over long distances throughout Michigan. Routes and duties may vary according to client and business needs, and assignments may change over time. MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with organizations nationwide to transport medical supplies and specimens. Employment offers are contingent on a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review. The role involves operating company vehicles equipped with dashcams and driving a non-commercial vehicle on various roads and in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Must be at least 19 years old and have held an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
Must have an active Michigan Chauffeur’s License or be willing to obtain one independently before the start date.
Must have an excellent driving history.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to it.
Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
Must be able to operate company vehicles equipped with dashcam recording systems; video is captured in accordance with applicable laws and company safety policies.
Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
Must have received the COVID-19 vaccination or be willing to obtain it independently before the start date; proof may be required depending on location and local mandates.
Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting items from storage racks.
Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands even when pickup and drop-off responsibilities or routes vary.
Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
Must complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
Use a handheld scanning device to accurately track items throughout the transportation cycle.
Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interactions.
Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
Perform duties across assigned routes, adapting to changing route assignments and client or business needs.
Work cooperatively and adaptively with teammates and clients.
Help build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
