About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join their team. They are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for initial physician internal board appointments, facility privileging, including conducting follow-up and timely responses to questions regarding pending applications. This is a full-time remote position, working day shifts, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of physician medical credentialing, licensing, privileging, or provider enrollment experience.
  • Experience managing multiple provider onboarding projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with federal/state and regulatory and/or accrediting agencies
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience interacting with physicians, medical staff offices, and healthcare administrators.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Proficiency using various computer systems and proficient typing skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree
  • Working knowledge of CMS, CAQH, IMLCC, NPDB, and JCAHO
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) OR Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
  • Experience using CredentialStream credentialing software.
  • Active notary status preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end provider onboarding process for newly hired physicians.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new providers throughout onboarding.
  • Initiate, track, and maintain provider onboarding workflows in Credential database.
  • Monitor onboarding milestones and ensure timely completion of credentialing and privileging requirements.
  • Utilize Credential software to create and manage initial provider onboarding, track onboarding status and outstanding items, and maintain provider records and documentation.
  • Conduct routine follow-up with providers, facilities, and internal departments regarding pending items.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment, Operations, Medical Staff Services, Licensing, Enrollment, Human Resources, and physician leadership to ensure providers meet target start dates.
  • Identify onboarding risks and escalate issues affecting provider readiness.
  • Provide regular onboarding status updates to leadership and operational stakeholders.
  • Ensure credentialing files remain audit-ready and compliant with applicable accreditation standards and organizational policies.
  • Maintain detailed notes and documentation within credentialing software database.
  • Coordinate facility privileging applications and initial appointments for assigned providers.
  • Review applications for completeness and accuracy before submission to facilities.
  • Manage facility-specific privileging requirements and documentation.
  • Communicate with Medical Staff Offices regarding application status and outstanding requirements.
  • Monitor privileging timelines and committee dates to support provider start dates.
  • Maintain accurate credentialing and privileging records within Credentialing database.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
