About The Position
Medical Couriers are responsible for the transportation of medical items to/from labs, hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or the on-campus transportation of UMC guests. This is a part-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Effective written and verbal communication
- The ability to drive a commercial vehicle safely
- Able to handle physical exertion and movement
Responsibilities
- Responsible for transporting labs, deposits, mail, supplies, equipment, linens, medications, and paperwork to and from the hospital, local labs, or any other partnering facilities
- Driving the UMC campus shuttle, or golf cart, and transporting patients, employees or visitors from one site on the campus, to another site on campus
- Logging vehicle mileage and maintenance information in the company logbook
- All other assigned duties related to UMC Courier
