Medical Courier - 2nd Shift (MAKO)
About The Position
The Medical Courier position is responsible for receiving and transporting samples to the lab for testing, requiring critical thinking to manage logistical situations. This role involves executing pickups and deliveries for both routed and non-routed stops, providing exceptional customer service to all accounts serviced, and meticulously accounting for all specimens using an electronic courier log and routed sheets. Couriers must be capable of working independently, utilizing critical thinking to handle obstacles, and safely operating a company vehicle in all weather conditions while adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining a safe driving score.
Requirements
- Be able to drive for long periods of time
- 21+ years old
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record over 5+ years (MVR is required )
- Strong work ethic and communication skills
- Must be willing and able to work a Saturday on occasion.
Responsibilities
- Execute pickups and/or deliveries for routed and non-routed stops.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all accounts serviced.
- Account for all specimens by tracking everything on electronic courier log, and routed sheets that are turned in each evening.
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical thinking to handle obstacles
- Maintain and safely operate company vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Follow all SOPs.
- Drive in a safe manner, maintain a “Low Risk (Score > 95)” driver score.
