Rapid Medical is seeking reliable individuals to join their team as Medical Couriers (1099). This role involves transporting medical specimens between Shelby and Charlotte, NC. The company is tech-forward and supports labs, clinics, and health systems across various states, managing thousands of daily stops. This specific route is approximately 144 miles and is scheduled for Saturdays, with an estimated duration of 4 hours. Contractors located within 15 miles of the start point, end point, or anywhere along the route are encouraged to apply. The position requires a personal vehicle, smartphone, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Successful candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented, and communicate effectively.

Requirements

• Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Active vehicle insurance
• Satisfactory driving record (MVR)
• Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Must be 21+ years old
• Satisfactory background check
• Satisfactory MVR review

Responsibilities

• Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
• Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
• Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
• Contact dispatch immediately if any issues arise with damaged, improperly packaged, or incorrect items.
