About The Position

Rapid Medical is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Courier (1099) to join their team. This role involves transporting medical specimens between Morgantown and Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate will have a personal vehicle, a smartphone, and be comfortable with technology, as all operations are managed through a driver app. This is an independent contractor position.

Requirements

• Personal vehicle (2016+ preferred)
• Valid driver's license
• Active insurance
• Satisfactory driving record (MVR)
• Smartphone (iOS 13+/Android 11+) with reliable data
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs
• 21+ years old
• Satisfactory background check and MVR review

Nice To Haves

• Delivery, rideshare, or courier experience

Responsibilities

• Run stops using the driver app, which includes navigation, scheduling, and real-time support.
• Photograph pickups/deliveries and log proof of delivery through the app.
• Handle specimens carefully and maintain proper temperature (room, refrigerated, or frozen as required).
• Contact dispatch immediately if any items appear damaged, improperly packaged, or incorrect.
