The coordinator schedules and manages all medical and psychiatric appointments, confirms details, gathers necessary information, and obtains required forms and prescriptions. They must actively listen to medical professionals, ask appropriate questions, and avoid interruptions. Daily review of the medical appointment calendar is required, along with proper documentation and communication of treatment to team members. The role also involves maintaining medication inventory, ordering medications as needed, and managing paper or electronic filing systems. Operating electronic systems, coordinating information flow, and ensuring timely and compliant documentation are key aspects of the position. The Medical Coordinator also performs other assigned duties.
