About The Position

Dynamic Service Solutions (DSS) is seeking compassionate professionals for its Children First Residential Care Program. This program provides trauma-informed, culturally responsive care in a safe and supportive environment to help children move toward stability and family reunification. The role requires individuals passionate about serving vulnerable populations and making a meaningful impact. Many roles require fluency in English and Spanish.

Requirements

  • Licensed practical or vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) or higher health-related qualification (e.g., licensed registered nurse (RN)).
  • Minimum of 1 year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish) – read, speak, write.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring the quality of medical services, treatment, and/or interventions provided to Unaccompanied Children (UC) in collaboration with contracted physicians.
  • Monitor patients' health by observing and assessing their records, symptoms, and reactions to treatment and care.
  • Guide and instruct UC in aftercare measures.
  • Assist in the delivery of medical care with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with State licensing, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), and all policies and procedures implemented by CFRC.
  • Coordinate appropriate health services, including urgent, emergent, and preventative health services, for children in care.
  • Maintain complete, confidential medical records for children.
  • Ensure appropriate communication of health needs to case managers and clinicians.
  • Schedule health care appointments.
  • Coordinate transportation to health care appointments.
  • Ensure qualified interpretation and translation services are in place.
  • Serve as a liaison for community health care providers.
  • Provide support in coordinating medical, dental, and mental health services to meet the needs of the children.
  • Ensure all new arrivals receive their initial medical assessments within 48 hours as required by ORR.
  • Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling and client medical record maintenance.
  • Prepare client report transcription from physician record.
  • Assure charts and/or files are recorded and purged as required.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for medical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Implement physicians’ orders, create nursing plan of care, administer medications, perform treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as directed by physicians and required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
