About The Position

The Office Coordinator organizes efforts with staff, healthcare providers and management to ensure quality healthcare while successfully complying with current healthcare regulations and company standards. Acts as a liaison between office staff, healthcare providers and management.

Requirements

  • CPR certification required.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical terminology and ability to operate standard office equipment required.
  • Some knowledge of third party insurance.
  • Typing 40 WPM, and knowledge of CRTs and computers and electrical equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years health care experience in admitting or pre-admitting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists front office and clerical staff in developing and implementing short and long-term work plans and objectives.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Oversees the process to prepare patients for examination and treatment.
  • Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff on fulfillment of job duties, patient services.
  • Scheduling appropriate coverage for Front Office staff and managing schedule requests.
  • Screens telephone calls for referral to physicians.
