The position requires evaluating, designing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive training, assessing and providing feedback to coders, performing coding audits, and preparing presentations on coding updates and guidelines. The educator will also research updated coding information, ensure staff have updated resources, and provide education to Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) staff on various coding-related topics, including software usage and official coding guidelines. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and responding to coding questions, collaborating with the Patient Financial Services Department on claim corrections, and undertaking special projects related to coding, which may include coding, abstracting, and data entry.
