• ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS training
• Basic skills in verbal and written communication
• Certification in one of the following: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCSP), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC/CPCH), Certified Professional Coder Payer (COC/CPCH;CPC-P ;CCS-P;RHIT;RHIA;CPC;CCS)
