Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in biomedical science preferred.
• Customer service experience (call center experience is a major plus).
• At least 1 year of experience using medical terminology; previous laboratory, healthcare, or medical office experience is highly preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to type at least 40 WPM while actively speaking with a caller.
• Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to learn complex medical/laboratory information quickly.
• A professional, empathetic, and resilient approach to problem-solving in a high-volume environment.
• Must be able to reliably commute or relocate to Tempe, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for incoming patient and provider inquiries, managing inbound calls.
• Assist callers with laboratory-related questions, order statuses, specimen requirements, and general account support.
• Navigate multiple software platforms and databases simultaneously to research and resolve customer concerns.
• Accurately document all interactions and maintain detailed records within company systems.
• Communicate effectively across internal departments and elevate complex issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and company policies.
