About The Position

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Medical Claims Assistant at the Kaysville Business Office. This position will work Monday through Friday and will assist the Senior Rep in resolving insurance claims issues, including claims that are paid incorrectly or unpaid. The role involves reviewing denied claims and sorting them into proper categories for resolution, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Basic computer knowledge & internet proficient and keyboarding proficiency, required
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job, required
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9, ICD-10 and other coding values, after training
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology, after training
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense

Nice To Haves

• Related work experience preferred, not required
• General knowledge of insurance terms and claim processing, preferred.
