About The Position

Saratoga Medical is seeking a Medical Case Reviewer (PhD / Non-Medical) for a remote, on-demand contract opportunity. This role will provide medical reviewer and case management support for the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP). Responsibilities include preparing written case reviews, providing expert testimony, and supporting legal and medical evaluation efforts under the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Workload and hours will vary based on HRSA/DOJ litigation case requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD or equivalent) from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized or equivalent foreign-accredited institution.
• If primarily in clinical practice, must be currently practicing or have left clinical practice within the last five (5) years.
• Demonstrated expertise in a relevant medical or research specialty.
• Subject Matter Expert with publications, research, and/or academic teaching experience.
• Must meet applicable case review and typing proficiency standards.

Nice To Haves

• Other Acceptable Non-Medical Degrees: Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Anesthetist, Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Vocational Nurse, Physical Therapist, and Physical Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-expert services and medical reviewer/case management support for the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) and Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).
• Prepare written case reviews.
• Provide expert testimony.
• Support legal and medical evaluation efforts under the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
• Work on-demand based on case assignments through Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA).
