Medical Business Specialist - Pulmonary Critical Care
About The Position
The Medical Business Specialist serves as the first point of contact for patients and their families, helping establish an exceptional care experience. The role obtains and verifies required patient and insurance information and accurately enters it into the registration system. It schedules patient appointments, which may include return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing or procedures. The specialist greets patients professionally in person and by telephone and responds effectively to patients and their families. This is a PRN role at 5087 N Royal Dr. B, Traverse City, Michigan. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- At least two years of experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or in a similar healthcare role.
- Proficient in typing and Windows.
- Experience with multiple computer systems.

- Associate degree preferred.
