Medical Business Specialist - Pulmonary Critical Care
About The Position
The Medical Business Specialist serves as a first point of contact for patients and their families, helping create an efficient and positive care experience. The role obtains and verifies required patient and insurance information and accurately enters it into the registration system. It also schedules patient appointments, including return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing or procedures. The specialist greets patients professionally in person and by telephone and responds effectively to patients and their families. The position is PRN and follows office hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The listed location is 5087 N Royal Dr. B, Traverse City, Michigan 49684.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- At least two years of experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or in a similar healthcare role.
- Proficiency in typing and Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.

- Associate degree preferred.
