About The Position

We are looking for a motivated individual to work as a Medical Billing Specialist. Applicants must be organized, able to multi-task, and enjoy working in a cohesive team environment. This role involves following up on unpaid claims, appeals, claim resubmissions, and patient collections. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a medical office billing department, with a strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT code terminology. The specialist will also complete other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned by the manager, and will help support other team members and remote practice staff as needed. Key responsibilities include checking patient eligibility and identifying and billing primary, secondary, or tertiary insurances. Excellent communication skills with professional telephone manners are a must.

Requirements
