About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to serve as the primary point of contact for resolving patient medical billing issues. The role connects patients, insurance companies, and internal departments by explaining balances, verifying demographic information, and supporting Revenue Cycle Management processes with a focus on patient satisfaction.

This is a full-time remote position working 40 hours per week, with shifts from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. CST. The pay range is $20–$26.39, based on direct and relevant experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinics, referring doctors, attorneys, insurance companies, and patients or responsible parties with medical billing questions.
• Research explanations of benefits (EOBs) and denials in the imaging system to help patients understand their balances.
• Respond promptly to texts, email, and mail about billing accounts, problem accounts, general questions, and concerns; route inquiries to appropriate departmental resources as needed.
• Escalate complex inquiries to a Senior Customer Service Specialist for support and resolution.
• Communicate effectively with departments across Revenue Cycle Management.
• Meet or exceed team quality assurance standards.
• Email itemized statements and request letters of protection (LOPs) from attorneys, ensuring proper authorization is on file.
• Update the billing system with patient demographic information.
• Call referring doctors, patients, insurance companies, and attorneys to obtain updated insurance or demographic information for patient accounts.
• Research inaccurate or missed adjustments, duplicate charges, reversed collection decisions, and insurance denials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
